SUMMARY:Indian Head Christmas Festival
DESCRIPTION:Bring your family. Invite a neighbor. Make a memory together. On Saturday\, December 5\, Indian Head’s Village Green becomes a gathering place for the people who make this community home. Join us from 5 to 9 p.m. for the Christmas Festival\, an evening of holiday lights\, family activities\, local creativity\, and a fireworks finale at 8:45 p.m. \nVoice of Indian Head is proud to sponsor the Christmas Festival for the second year in a row and to support this year’s fireworks celebration. Our investment is about more than lighting up the sky. It is about making room for neighbors to meet\, families to spend time together\, and people across Indian Head and Western Charles County to feel connected to the place we share. \n\n\nPlan your evening\n\n5 p.m.: Community tree lighting\nImmediately after tree lighting: 2026 Community Champion of the Year award announcement\n5:30 to 8 p.m.: Rides\, per the organizer’s current schedule\n8:45 p.m.: Fireworks show\n9 p.m.: Festival concludes\n\nThe fireworks start has moved to 8:45 p.m. by popular demand. Individual attraction hours may differ from the festival’s overall hours. \n\n\nCome for the celebration\nEnjoy holiday lights\, carnival and train rides\, s’mores\, crafts\, the Holiday Shop\, caroling\, and opportunities to connect with neighbors. \nVillage Green Park100 Walter Thomas RoadIndian Head\, MD 20640 \nDress for an outdoor December evening\, arrive in time for the tree lighting\, and plan to stay for the fireworks. \n\n\nA stronger community starts with showing up\nA town is more than its streets and buildings. It is the neighbors we greet by name\, the children who grow up here\, and the moments we share. When we make the time and space to come together\, we strengthen the relationships that help a community thrive long after the decorations come down. \nThat is why VOIH invests in opportunities like this festival. We hope you will come out\, catch up with someone you know\, introduce yourself to someone you do not\, and help make the Village Green feel like the heart of our community. Whether your family has been here for generations or you are just getting to know Indian Head\, you belong in this celebration. \nCelebrate the people who make a difference\nImmediately after the tree lighting\, we will announce the 2026 Community Champion of the Year\, honoring service that strengthens Indian Head and its surrounding community. VOIH will make a $2\,000 charitable donation in the honoree’s name to a qualifying local 501(c)(3) organization of their choice serving Indian Head. Know someone whose story should be told? Submit a nomination by November 29 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern. \n\nHelp make fireworks a festival tradition\nWe hope to make this an annual addition to the festival\, and community turnout will help shape what comes next. Bring your family. Bring your neighbors. Let’s fill the Village Green with connection\, celebration\, and community pride. \nShare the festival with a neighbor \n\nHelp bring the evening to life\nLocal businesses\, churches\, community organizations\, food trucks\, craft vendors\, caroling groups\, and volunteers can help build the celebration. Whether you can welcome guests\, support an activity\, or share the invitation\, your participation matters. \nFor festival participation and coordination\, contact Annie Brady at annie@townofindianhead.org or Becky Chick at becky@bridgeih.church. \nHosted by the Town of Indian Head\, with community partners including Voice of Indian Head\, United States Bomb Technician Association\, and Bridge Church. VOIH maintains this listing with our sponsorship updates and the latest confirmed information. \n\n\n\nA simple way to help \nHelp Spread the Word\nHelp fill the Village Green with neighbors and holiday spirit.
