Celebrate National Walk Your Dog Week with a guided hike along General’s Walk Trail.
What to expect
- A guided two-mile group hike
- Hardwood forests and tidal wetlands over moderate terrain
- An outdoor adventure with your leashed dog
Before you go
- Friday, October 2, 9–10:30 a.m.; meet at Pavilion #3
- Wear sturdy shoes and long pants; use insect repellent
- Bring water for yourself and your dog, plus enough dog-waste bags
Program information
The program is free; standard park entry fees apply. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Learn more on the official Maryland State Parks page.
Park address: 2750 Sweden Point Road, Marbury, MD 20658. Discovery Center visitor hours for October are Thursday–Sunday, 1–3 p.m.; individual program times are listed above.
