Explore the night sky with Maryland State Parks and the Southern Maryland Astronomical Society. This all-ages evening celebrates International Observe the Moon Night and Astronomy Day with guided views of the Moon, Venus, constellations and deep-sky objects.

Before you go
- Registration is required and space is limited
- Arrive by 6:30 PM for entry
- Bring bug spray, a red-filtered flashlight, and a blanket or chair
Weather and park information
The program is weather dependent. Check the Maryland State Parks Facebook page on the day of the event for weather-related updates. The program itself is free, while standard park entry fees apply.
